Solana Mobile, the offshoot of the Layer-1 network that designs Web3-based Android phones, has shared a new update regarding its next product release – the Seeker Mobile. As announced on X, it has released the design for the Seeker phone specs based on prospective user demand.
Solana Mobile Specs and Community Concerns
As the Solana Mobile teased, the released 3D files for the Seeker phones are fully Open-source. The outfit noted that these specifications will make it easy for the community to create custom accessories for the Seeker mobile.
In an earlier post, the Solana Mobile also released the specifications for the Seeker phone. This particular release aims to help the community build the right Web3 applications.

Some of the phone’s top features are fingerprint entry and double-tap transactions. The phone will have 8GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The Seeker Mobile boasts a 108+32MP camera and a 6.36” AMOLED display.
While the specs, including the phone cases design release, innovators within the ecosystem, including SOLYD, have hinted at plans to develop cases. However, despite these updates, some community members demanded more, especially the potential timeline for the Seeker’s release.
Beyond this, some community members expressed concerns about the model to handle congestion on the Solana Mobile. This is not unfounded, as Coinbase reported congestion on the Solana network in the past few days. However, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong plans to offer tier-1 support for SOL moving forward.
Building on the Saga Mobile Success
Despite the assurances of release later this year, the exact timeline remains unknown. Amid this uncertainty, community members are concerned whether Seeker can build on the successes of the previous release, the Saga Mobile.
At the time of the release, phone holders secured airdrops from projects within the ecosystem like BONK. Today, Solana dominates the meme coin landscape, showcased with the release of TRUMP and MELANIA over the weekend. These tokens became so popular that TRUMP outperformed Ethereum per the latter’s 4-year growth record.
Amid the meme coin boom, the community is optimistic that releasing the phone at this time might help it capture the bull market hype and also beat Saga’s success
More Solana Products to Expect
Solana Mobile Seeker remains one of the most talked about products to watch out for this year. However, the ecosystem is also optimistic regarding the potential approval of a Solana ETF product.
This ETF product will help draw in more traditional financial institutions and investors from Wall Street. With a pro-crypto US SEC, many believe the odds of a SOL ETF approval are high. Combined with Seeker and the memecoin explosion, there is a high confidence that the positive impact on the price of SOL will be high.
