Ryder Cup standings: Who’s likely to make US and Europe teams?

As the 2025 Ryder Cup draws near, the squads for Team U.S. and Team Europe are starting to take shape. Twelve members from each team will have the honor of competing on the illustrious Black Course at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York.
Team USA will be led by World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who is set to make his third consecutive Ryder Cup appearance. Joining him is J.J. Spaun, the U.S. Open champion, who secured a rookie spot on this year’s team after his runner-up finish in the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Despite an early-season rib injury, Xander Schauffele will also be part of the team for the third time, boasting an impressive record of nine top-25 finishes and three top-10 finishes in his 14 starts on the PGA Tour this season.
As we approach the final stage of the Ryder Cup standings, Russell Henley, Bryson DeChambeau, and Harris English currently hold the last three points positions. Once the final standings are confirmed, U.S. team captain Keegan Bradley will have the task of selecting six additional players, known as captain’s picks, after the Tour Championship concludes on Aug. 24.
