Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.85%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.85%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which rose 4.66% or 14.50 points to trade at 325.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) added 4.55% or 6.05 points to end at 138.95 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 3.47% or 2.10 points to 62.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which fell 1.99% or 2.70 points to trade at 132.80 at the close. Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) declined 1.39% or 3.70 points to end at 262.00 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was down 1.18% or 1.15 points to 96.60.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 176 to 109 and 26 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.89% or 0.62 to $70.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.84% or 0.62 to hit $74.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 7.20 to trade at $2,605.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.63% to 11.70, while USD/NOK fell 0.67% to 10.52.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 100.61.
