Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.57%
Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Household sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Ekter (AT:EKTr), which rose 6.29% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Alumil (AT:ALMr) added 4.94% or 0.20 points to end at 4.25 and Athens International Airport SA (AT:AIAr) was up 3.70% or 0.30 points to 8.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which fell 3.63% or 0.09 points to trade at 2.39 at the close. J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) declined 3.40% or 0.06 points to end at 1.82 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was down 2.83% or 0.05 points to 1.72.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 59 to 57 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.41% or 11.31 to $2,770.51 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.16% or 0.12 to hit $75.95 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.19% or 0.15 to trade at $79.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 108.00.
