A Fusion Retreat with Futuristic Design and Natural Materials
The Fusion Retreat—designed by ZROBIM architects—is a conversation between the earth and the future. The warmth of natural wood grain works well with sleek silhouettes. The end result is cutting-edge sophistication.
In this house, timeless materials are reimaged with a forward-thinking perspective. We especially love the natural materials and futuristic office design, opening up new boundaries in design.
The living space features an oversized, modular sofa—providing 360-degree seating. A small console table can be moved around as per need, while the sleek gray arc lamp provides concentrated illumination. The projector is a great idea to watch your favorite slideshows!
The kitchen features a raw kitchen island, while the sleek wooden cabinetry uses no hardware. A special mention for the dining space, using light-colored natural wood to bring the outdoors in. Finally, a stark white hallway leads you to the bedrooms.
This bedroom may be compact, but the large windows keep it feeling airy. The headboard uses natural wood, while the abstract art above it—depicting a cat—interestingly adds wildlife. The light and dark-hued draperies bring contrast. The vanity is so sleek, you’d have to look closely to see that it’s functional, not just stylish!
The next bedroom uses a low-profile platform bed. It’s so comfy—even a glance at it invites you to sink in. We also see a wooden workstation right next to the window. Work and natural views together give you just the right experience.
The futuristic home office is the highlight of this home. We see two minimalist modern sofas, creating a symmetrical seating space. The floating desk and streamlined chairs embody simplicity—while maintaining ergonomics. The sleek speaker system is also another impressive feature.
The bathrooms in this home continue the futuristic vibe. They follow a neutral color palette—mostly grays and whites—and are dimly lit, until the neon LED lighting switches on to create a captivating ambiance. The freestanding bathtub, paired with an organic wooden seat, creates a spa-like ambiance. There’s also a shower cubicle, segregated not only with a glass door but also the color palette. The vanities are sleek and toned-down, letting the interesting lighting take center stage.
